Video Chat Safety on MeetCam

Protect your personal information, respect consent, and leave whenever you need to. MeetCam is intended for adults 18+.

Before you turn on your camera

  • Use a background that does not reveal your address, workplace, or documents.
  • Keep passwords, one-time codes, payment details, and identity documents private.
  • Remember that another person may capture a screen or record an interaction.

Consent is part of every conversation

A conversation, follow, or previous call is not permission for anything else. Respect “no,” silence, and a request to stop. You can end a call or stop replying at any time.

How to report a profile

  1. Open the person’s profile from the profile list or conversation.
  2. Open the three-dot menu in the top-right corner and choose Report.
  3. Choose a reason, add relevant details, and attach evidence if needed.
  4. Review the information and select Submit Report.

How to block someone

  1. Open their profile and the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
  2. Choose Block.
  3. Read the confirmation and choose Sure to block, or Cancel to leave without changing anything.

To undo a block, return to the same profile, open the menu, and choose Unblock.

If something feels wrong

End the interaction first. Consult the community guidelines. For help, open the support options and describe the profile and approximate time without reposting private content.

Be alert to scams

  • Do not send money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, or account access to someone you just met.
  • Do not click unexpected links or install software at another person’s request.
  • Be cautious when someone pressures you to move off the platform.

Know the price before you proceed

Review the available balance and displayed price for any paid action. Optional top-ups do not replace your right to choose whether to continue a conversation.

Age requirement

This service is intended for adults 18 and older. Do not use it if you are under 18. If you suspect someone is underage, leave and raise the concern through the product’s available safety or support options.
